uestion 1 (1 point) A patient suffering from Alzheimer's arrives in your clinic. To assess their cognitive function you administer a test known as the "mini-cog" test. You ask the patient to listen carefully and then repeat the following words: APPLE, WATCH, PENNY. The patient in able to repeat the words. The patient returns one year later and you perform the same test. This time, the patient is able to repeat the words and draw the images. Explanation / Answer

In the mini cog test, there are 3 main steps :

1) We ask the patient to repeat words/numbers we say to them. ( In this case APPLE, WATCH, PENNY)

2) We ask him/her to draw a clock .

3) We ask the person to repeat the words we said to them in step 1.

In the first visit, the person was ablento repeat the words but there is no mentoom of him being able to draw the images. In the second visit, the patient is able to repeat the words and also, draw images. That means he is improving.

Thus, the answer should be :

None of the abovw, the patient appears to be responding appropriately.
