MI surgery means Minimally invasive Surgery'. As the term says 'minimum means less' and 'invasive means introduction of instruments inside the body.' Hence MI surgery is less invasion inside the body .These procedures are performed through tiny incisions instead of large openings as seen in conventional procedures. In these procedures , surgeon uses tools, cameras , lights that fit through the tiny incisions and thus surgery is performed.
These procedures are becoming more and more common in hospitals due to following reasons:
1) Small incisions

4) Recovery time is fast .
