Answer: As per the equity theory fair treatment motivates the employees. The employees consider treatment as fair when there is equity maintained between the inputs what they put in and the output which they receive as compared to the input and output of the others. Thus the employees compare their labor and rewards with the other employees. Therefore in this case the employees will also use this factor for evaluating the fairness of their pay. They will compare their new pay with the new pay of the other employees. They will compare the new job and responsibilities and pay which they will get under job rotation and new restructuring and will compare it with their previous responsibilities and pay. If they will find that their new pay does not justify their new responsibilities then they will get de motivated. Similarly if they will feel that in the new systems the others are having superior positions and pays as compared to them they are going to feel de motivated.
