1. Describe the planned operation: its location location, what the facility looks like, the nature of the product/ service, number of staff, etc. Limit this part of the report to about 2 or 3 pages.
2. Beyond those 2 or 3 pages, describe the necessary roles/jobs and the relate knowladge, skills and abilities needed in your organization.

Explanation / Answer
A Fitness Center be ideally located in a quiet residential area. Hence, the location chosen will be in a prime residential area with a lot of greenery and parking space. The Fitness Center will have a number of facilities and equipments. It will have weight machines, treadmills, elliptical, stationary bikes, cable pulley machines, abdominal crunchers, aerobic steppers, exercise balls and rowing machines among others.
The services offered will not only be limited to weight management but will also have recreational facilities such as billiards and table tennis boards, sauna bath, swimming pool and cafe. There will also be children's play facility to keep them busy while their parents sweat out.
The facility will be manned by a number of employees starting with a receptionist, a gym trainer, aerobic instructor, life guard at the swimming pool, cafe attendant, children's play facility attendant and a couple of house keeping personnel. It will also ideally have a parking and security attendant. Since the facility will be open for long hours i.e. 5 am to midnight, multiple employees will be needed to work shift wise.
The employees recruited to handle the facility will need to be competent and experienced in the fields handled by them. The receptionist will need to have good communication skills and accounting capabilities to keep records of memberships, the gym instructors need to have knowledge of food diets and medical necessities while cafe attendant, security guard and others need to have experience in their field to effectively manage the Fitness Center.
