Explanation / Answer

Answer 1. In age related macular degeneration, affected individuals experiencing a blurred area near the center of the vision. This center retinal area is called as macula. Macular area is related to the most clear area of vision. It is due to maximum number of nerves presence in that macular area. By increasing age, the macular region becomes degenerated. This is called as age related macular degeneration. Its symptoms include blurring of vision in macular region of the retina.

Answer 2. Cows have better night vision than human because of presence of more number of rods cells than that in humans. Cows have no cones cells hence can't detect colour vision but have more cone cells in the retina. Cone cells are sensitive to dim light. More over cows eye dilate more than human eyes. That is the reason behind the better night vision of the cows and other animals like dog, horse and cats.
