Part A FEV1 for this patient is 4.4-1.6= 2.8L

Part B the inspiratory capacity here is 2.2L. normal value is 3.6L. thus it is "reduction"

Part C The total lung capacity found is 4.4 Lwhich is less than normal. Thus it is "moderate reduction".

Part D obstructive disorder, which might have occured due to smoking. The lungs are not capable enough to take air volume in because of any kind of obstruction.

Part E- Fev1 of Caucasian male 46yrs 183 cm is 4.5. calculated is 2.8. Fev1 % is 2.8/4.5*100= 62.2%. thus it is considered as moderate obstruction.
