A Leader has the following key success traits and attributes to handle success as well as failure:
i)Leads by example and demostrates the skills and behaviours which will help to reach the planned goals/objectives
ii)Motivates his team in every possible way to keep them focussed on the goals
iii) Develops mutual trust and team-work in his team
iv)Is willing to take calculated risks and decisions,which will help to remove any road-blocks and challenges on the project.
v) A True Leader is a Situational Leader and his style is adapted as per the needs of the situation on hand and the kind of team members he is leading.Eg: The leader has to be autocratic at times for some parameters which cannot be compromised like Trust,Loyalty etc and has to be empathetic at times when the team members are facing personal challenges etc.
vi)A True Leader is never afraid of failures as they infact help him to learn newer techniches to handle future challenges.
vii) A good leader will surely enjoy the success and glory with his team on achieving the goals but will never let it get in to his head and will continue to strive for higher achievements and increase his vision.
viii) A leader will always facilitate the removal of unecessary road-blocks which come in the way of his teams achievements on any project.

x) A good leader will always try to be fair in his judgements on situations and people and should never harbour biases in his mind.
xi) A true leader will always try and increase his knowledge of newer techniques and developments in his field of operation.
A situational leadership style is the most recommended style of leadership and the same can be demonstrated by having 2 opposing situations like one in which a person approaches the leader to accept a favour to approve some project wrongly,wherein he can clearly refuse the same and show an ideal example to his team members.In a second situation a leader can positively empathise with a team member who is faced with an impending separateion from his or her spouse and generate positivity and hope in the team member to face the future.
The leader's skills,traits and behavious have a tremendous impact on the flow and productivity of the event as he is a role model for all to emulate.
