Question
Pretend you are working with a patient who has waste products building up in her cells instead of being broken down and eliminated. You think the patient’s Gogli is malfunctioning. Your colleague thinks the patient’s Cytoskeleton is malfunctioning. 1)Why does your conclusion (gogli) make sense here?
2)Why does your colleague’s conclusion (cytoskeleton) also make sense?
Answer must have: Discuss functions of the golgi that, if not working, would contribute to the patient's symptoms. Discuss functions of the cytoskeleton that, if not working, woudl contribute to the patient's symptoms.

Explanation / Answer
Golgi is required to form lysosomes and secretory vesicles. So, if golgi transport is not working properly then vesicles would not be formed. If vesicles are not formed then waste products will not be discarded.
On the other hand, cytoskeleton, especially microtubules, are required for transport of these vesicles. Dynein (a motor protein) is required to transport the endosomes towards golgi and Kinesin (another motor protein) is required for the transport of vesicles containing waste materials outside the cell. This transport requires the microtubules and actin. So, if cytoskeleton is not proper then transport will not occur and waste material will accumulate inside the cells.
