3. (3pts) Using numbers 1-7, label the steps for Transcription, Translation and release of an extracellular protein. Leave blank the steps that are not usecd. translocation of mRNA through a nucleopore _protein containing vesicle fuses with the plasma membrane mRNA translation occurs on a free cytosolic ribosome RNA polymerase at work in the nucleus -protein containing vesicle buds off of the lysosome DNA polymerase at work in the nucleus mRNA translation occurs on a rough endoplasmic reticulum bound ribosome protein modification occurs in the Golgi apparatus mRNA translation occurs on a mitochondrial ribosome protein containing vesicle buds off of the rough endoplasmic reticulumExplanation / Answer
In synthesis and release of an extracellular protein following steps are taken -
1. RNA polymerases are enzymes which takes DNA as template and synthesize single stranded mRNA inside the nucleus.
2. From there mRNA after maturation it is transferred to cytoplasm through nuclear pore.
3. For synthesis of extracellular protein mRNA is translated in the ribosomes of RER.
4. After synthesis it is deattached from the RER in form of vesicles.
5. These vesicles are received by nearby Golgi Body and are sorted and processed.
6. After sorting proteins are released in form of vesicles.
7. These vesicles are bound on plasma membrane of cell and are secreated extracellularly through the process of exocytosis.
