Explanation / Answer

1)White matter can be defined as the tissue of the brain and spinal cord which is pale in color and consists mostly of nerve fibers that have myelin sheath around.the white colour is because of myelin sheath that acts as a coating and also gives the distinction to such matter.

Grey matter can be defined as the major component of the human brain that has several nucleon bodies, neuropil, and other parts that help in working on body parts. Grey colour of  the matter is because of axons that give it a distinctive color.

The distinction is important because the processed signals by grey matter are being passed through white matter inside the brain.

2)Dermatome map is a great tool to find the root of the pain the body. A dermatome is an area of skin that is supplied by a single spinal nerve . There are eight cervical nerves, twelve thoracic nerves, five lumbar nerves and five sacral nerves. Each of these nerves relays sensation, including pain, from a particular region of the skin to the brain.

3)The word innervate means to “put the nerves into” something. When nerves go into muscle fiber, they innervate the muscle fiber. Innervate is to supply nerves to something, but it can also mean to energize.

if the nerve is damaged there can be a wide array of symptoms.it may reslut in Paralysis, inability to sense,Lightheadedness,Dry eyes and mouth,Constipation,Bladder dysfunction,Sexual dysfunction,Weakness,Muscle atrophy,Twitching,Paralysis,Pain,Sensitivity,Numbness,Tingling or prickling etc.

C)Extension of elbow C7(radial)

d)Flexion of elbow C5(musculocutaneous)

e)Wrist extension C6(radial)

f)Hip Extension – L5 (inferior gluteal)

g)Hip Flexion – L2 (femoral)

h)Knee Extension – L3,4 (femoral)
