Explanation: Adipose tissues are a type of the loose connective tissues which are meant to store fats. The tissue consists of several spherical or oval shaped adipose cells called as adipocytes. The adipocytes contain the fat globules due to which their nucleus is displaced to the periphery. Hence they are also called as Signet Ring cells.
Depending on the size and number of fat globules, the adipose cells are classified into two types; namely; Monolocular and Multilocular.
Monolocular cells contain a single large fat globule whereas a multilocular cell contains many small fat globules.
