Out of the several memory techniques which have evolved so far, the spaced repetion technique has proven to be most helpful for me. It basically involves revising a topic in certain time intervals.

It is non-imposing when compared to other techniques like rote learning and active recall. This can be done at one's own pace and increases long term memory. When compared to mnemonics (, which are not so dependable) or flashcards(active recall), this method allows us to retain facts for a longer period of time.
