Explanation / Answer

A reticulocyte count test is conducted in order to measue the number of red blood cells which are newly formed in our body. A high reticulocyte count is associated with conditions such as low amount of RBCs, low haematocrit . It is associated with conditions such as haemolytic anemia which destroys the red blood cells and so the reticulocyte count becomes elevated. It may also include bleeding or chronic blood loss where the reticlucytes levels becomes elevated to compensate for blood loss.

However, aplastic anaemia is associated with conditions such as abnormally low number of reticulocytes. There is a deficiency of all kinds of blood cells. It can aslo indicate conditions such as iron deficiency conditions where enough iron is not present to make haemoglobin in our body. So,the correct answer is aplastic anemia.
