Answer 1) diet and periodontal disease say plaque formation are not as clearly connected as diet and dental caries .overall nutritional status can affect host susceptibility and influence disease progression.good nutrition can be protective by helping increase resistance to periodontal infection and help minimize its severity while malnutrition can reduce resistance to predontal infection.
