Explanation / Answer

Memory is a complex phenomena that psychologists have been attempting to understand in comprehensive detail. In fact, cognitive psychology is a branch that encompasses of mental processes that cater to how people think, perceive, remember and learn thereafter. The memory has various brain centres attached to it that help to encode, gather, store and later retrieve information as per it's requirement. Moreover, remembering information often becomes difficult due to various reasons. One of them is the absence of maintenance rehersal or adequate practice in the field that facilitates encoding process. Moreover, interference of new information that is constantly gathered by the brain also plays a role in forgetting the ones that were processed earlier.
