Explanation / Answer

*Evidence for a shadow in someone's life.

The word shadow is mostly used with negative connotations as something that is hidden, is less notable side, or the dark side of one's personality.

* The presence of a particular trait to an unusual degree (e.g., friendliness-hostility)

This means that either the person is too friendly or too hostile. Any personality trait that is present at an unusual degree cause trouble to the person. Always a balance is preferred regarding the personality traits to have a normal life.

* An example of repression, a Freudian slip, or both.

Repression is a defense mechanism in which a painful memory or a traumatic experience probably of childhood is unconsciously crushed underneath to avoid the pain, and to prevent distraction in normal life due to it. It could also be an impulsive sexual urge that is been repressed. A child abused by parents may have difficulty in forming relationship in their adulthood.

Freudian slip is unconscious verbal or memory mistakes that are believed to express the real feelings and thoughts of the individuals, that were being held consciously by them.

* A feared or other possible self.

The dark or the shadow part of the individual of which the individual is aware of , and wants to keep it hidden because of the fear for its exposure as it may ruin individual's reputation. Example- Keeping one's jealousy hidden by being nice and cooperative.

*A person's repeated characteristic, dating or other relationship pattern.

This aspect may be because of some Personality Disorder, or a repressed experience. These characteristics may include repeated broken relationship due to suspicion, obsessive behavior, cheating etc.

* An unrealistic model of the world or of the self-in-world.

Means having expectation from oneself or others that are not real, being in world that is not real, viewing world as harsher than reality or the vice-versa. Having an unrealistic perspective and expectations towards one's own life, that hindering the progress and development of one's own life.
