Explanation / Answer

Religion has been playing a major role in shaping a country's culture, customs and even politics. America has long back kept religion away fro politics and decided that religion will be a private affairs. People are afraid of only God, so religion is a man made institution that was established to lead people in a good path. Today, as science and technology has grown exponentially, people in the Millennial generation do not regard religion as something significant. Although they don't regard religion as a big thing in their lives, there are other small sects that try to make sure that religion survives and get into extreme acts of preaching, forcing, cursing and even killing others in the name of religion. In my opinion, religion is going to lose its significance very soon and people would live in a society where humanity would be regarded above religions. The society is already becoming more tolerant, more pluralistic and more individualistic where religions are understood as personal choices rather than an institution that would dictate a society in the name of an unseen God.
