One Gestalt exercise is talking to a person with whom you have a personal issue, but they are not there. It is known as the "empty Chair" technique. For example, if you have an issue with your mother, you can imagine she is in an empty chair and say everything you have always wanted to say to her. Other techniques include "Here and Now" and "Rehearsal." Watch the following video:

Take notes on the process and try the exercise for yourself.

1. Identify an issue you have with another person.
2. Identify feelings associated with that issue.
3. Increase awareness by fully focusing on just one feeling.
4. Describe physical symptoms associated with the feeling (i.e. racing heart, sweating, etc.)
5. Face, confront and experience feelings in a safe setting- verbally express what you may normally hold back.
6. Imagine the person in the chair and tell them how you feel.
7. Explore feelings and insights after the technique

Explanation / Answer

This is a very good exercise. This is something which I needed now. This just like any theatre exercise or any kind of psychological technique to make your mind stress free.

1) Issue with the person - I do not like gossiping, talking about rich things than rich values, talking about wealth, constantly comparing things with others. I prefer to have my own me time such as reading books, listening to soft music, writing down something or may be gardening.

2) I get angry when things are not working like that, I get angry if they are going exactly opposite or you are making them go exactly opposite of that.

3) Irritation, I constantly get irritated, and then the level of irritation increases to even vehicle or a car which is passing by the road.

4) There is nothing physical symptoms as such, since I am much at peace and stable mood now. And I have listened to many motivational videos now.

5) Please stop telling me about wealth of yours. Try to understand that each person is different and each dog has its own day. Value positive points in others and look out for negative points in yourself.

6) The constant talks, thoughts that you make or throw has also made your face also irritating which shouldn't be. You have crossed the point of irritation in many lives and you have also got back many things as punishment. But you do not realise it and continue doing the same.

7) I am feeling good, and I am feeling like I have emptied my mind and have protected it from any normal irritation. I have came to the point through this activity that the face is not irritating, every human's face is beautiful but the thoughts or the ideas that we associate with it makes the things go very bad. And hence our thoughts should be checked in on word vented out not to make things go worse beyond our control.
