Sally is a 25 year old female that has lived with her boyfriend for 5 years now. Sally is attending her 4th therapy appointment, and updated her psychologist about her recent well-being. Sally has a job working for Macy's. Sally was recently promoted after being named the top sales person of the first week of the year. Sally stated thats he never felt better during the first two weeks of the year. She said she was motivated, constantly having thoughts about work and “Everything else” and felt likes he had “so much energy.” Sally explained that she barely slept, but felt so energized she did not need the sleep. Sally stated that a month prior to that she was feeling really sad, and was “down in the dumps.” Sally explained that she is started to feel sad again, and is tired “all the time.” Sally reported that she keeps sleeping on her lunch break, and taking a nap when she gets home. Sally reported that she does not want to go on dates with her boyfriend, or go shopping with her friends, she just wants to watch TV and catch up on sleep. Sally reported that her boyfriend is starting to get upset with her. What type of depressive or bipolar disorder would this be?

Billy has bipolar II disorder. He shows the symptoms like periods of hypomania which is periods of high moods which is signified by high energy, needing less sleep, feeling abnormally confident and social, more productive at work. And then later for some times he shows the symptoms of depressive mood which is signified by low energy, excessive sleeping, less socialization, least productive, feeling sad for no reason, low energy. All these symptoms leads to his dignisidi of having bipolar II disorder which is less sever than bilolar I disorder.
