The area of gender role stereotypes, in particular, has received considerable amounts of attention over the recent decades. Identify and discuss 3 studies that explore gender stereotypes within United States culture or a culture of your choosing. Explanation / Answer

1. Men are considered stronger than Women .

Physiologically , it was believed that men are more stronger than women.

2. Male are better in solving mathematics as compared to Females .

Since men were considered to be more intelligent than that of women , that is the reason why solving maths was a skill that only people with brains were supposed to solve it. (i.e. male) Whereas women were supposed to take care of the household chores.

3. Males are paid higher than Females .

There is always a disparity regarding the pay structure . In today's society , which is patriarchal in nature is where the males are considered to be the dominant one. Whereas , women are considered to be the submissive one. Women should be paid less as compared to that of men.

Over 30 years , the state of gender stereotype is evolving . Such as , driving cars or bikes is not only meant for Men . But nowadays we get to see , that women are also driving cars and bikes .

This is a mark , that the system is evolving and moving towards the betterment .
