Explanation / Answer
From a cultural perspective there are ways in which psychologists have diversified the scientific knowledge of social issues. When a society is faced with any challenge or crisis, it tends to find solutions from the expertise available around. And when it comes to psychology, research and elaborate study has helped get answers to some such questions. Scientific and paradigm oriented studies have helped psychologists to discern answers to such questions by pondering upon them in a serious manner and through step.by step diversification of the discipline. This increased the horizons of the subject and helped gather answers to larger questions as part of the academic work.
2. Wundt is famously known for being labelled as the father of experimental psychology and for setting up the first ever laboratory for academic study in the field. Tichener was in fact the person who joined this laboratory and received a PhD in the field of experimental psychology at a later point. James on the other hand was the leader of the philosophical group of pragmatism and the psychological movement of functionalism. Hall was someone who gave a heads up to new and emerging fields within the works of psychology. This includes child development and educational psychology.
3. Multidisciplivary approach to studying human behavior can be beneficial in the sense that it can provide different perspectives and avoid focusing on one aspect of behavior. More diverse approach leads to a comprehensive analysis of aspects of human behavior. However, the disadvantages can be in terms of not being able to come on one conclusion and decipher a cause since multidisciplinary approach may provide varied reasons or causes to a consequence.
