To what extent are emotions or feelings important to a moral system? Does reliance on emotion to determine what is morally correct result in inconsistency? How important is it for a moral system or code, or for a person, to be consistent? For example, "Park 51," originally named "Cordoba House," sometimes referred to as the "Ground Zero mosque," is a 13-story Islamic community center and mosque located about two blocks from the World Trade Center site in Lower Manhattan (New York City). It replaced an existing 1850s building that was being used as a clothing business before it was damaged in the September 11, 2001 attacks. Although the building is not visible from the World Trade Center site, opponents of the project have said, among other things, that building a mosque so close to"Ground Zero" is offensive since the hijackers in the September 11, 2001 attacks were Islamic terrorists. Proponents of the project have pointed out that some victims and victims' families are in favor of building it. Prominent supporters and opponents of the project can be found among the families of the 9/11 victims, the American and worldwide Muslim communities, and local and national politicians making it a divisive emotional, ethical and political issue. The controversy over the project has coincided with unexpected protests of mosque projects in other states, leading to concerns that relations between Muslims and non-Muslims are not improving. Moral system is a system of reasonable principles , coherent ,rules ,ideals and values all these works to make a person's perspective . And in this emotions and feeling play an important role to build your moral system .Even emotion and feelings shapes peoples perspective towards society and other humans.

Yes, depending on your emotion for morally correct can leads to in consistency.But some times and not always . people should depend on emotion for morally correct but not always as it can leads to problem for others . A decision can not be made under the influence of emotions .

Human can not be morally correct always , and moral system are sets of our principles which we follow .But not always we do that. A person can not be morally correct constantly ,his moral system will be effected as he faces the situation . Though it is important for person to be keep his moral system consistent but he can not do it because of the situations which he will face in coming time .He will have to overcome his moral principles and take decision .

The issue is sensitive but people have misconception against Muslims that they are bad people and they are terrorist.But all these theories are wrong ,just like you and me even Muslims are human , and those who did the attack were not Muslims they were against humanity . After 9|11 Muslims had to suffer alot worldwide ,and in every country people belief that Muslims are bad but that is not true . So building a mosque near a world trade centre could be right ,as USA give permission to follow any religion ,though building a mosque is hurting some peoples sentiments but they have to understand that Muslims are not bad and these people who are building did not had a involvement in the attack and just because of few bad Muslims you can not blame the entire religion . People need to understand that leaving out a single person will not lead to progress of the country and if you have to be progressive than you have to hold the hand of all the people ,religion ,cast ,sect, creed and have to walk with them. This issue should not be raised politically as it will turn into a massive issue because politicians only do politics . Always remember religion don't teach bad things it is the people who leave there moral values behind and become bad .
