Question

What Careers would you advise to me?

I mainly just want to know where I should start

Here is some info about me

25 year old, male Business Administration Degree Lives in Austin, Texas

DISCLAIMER!!! Despite the fact that I have a Business Degree, the career you recommend does NOT have to be business related,...just a career where my degree COULD be applied. Example: "Social and Community Service Manager"

Here is some of what I am looking for in future career

1. Something entry level, with an opportunity to ADVANCE within the company and eventually make at least 50K (or more) a year

2. Does NOT require alot of math

3. PREFERABLY white collar

4. PREFERABLY no excel

5. PREFERABLY nothing sales related (but I suppose I can consider, if you are gonna suggest sales, tell me which type is the most lucrative and offers hourly wage/salary plus commission....in other words nothing 100% commission)

6. PREFERABLY something low stress

7. NOTHING Human Resource related (I have heard alot of horror stories from guys, and I frankly do not want to be apart of what I have heard)

I am NOT bound to Austin, but would PREFER to stay in Texas since my whole family is here

I have NO intentions of pursuing further education I only want work that requires a bachelors..school was an ordeal for me

I LOVE working in teams, in fact I prefer it

I'd prefer to NOT work with alot of customers (working fast food, and diners have ruined that for me)

NOTE* Even though I have a business degree, it does NOT have to be a business related career...just as long as it is one of those jobs where multiple types of degrees are applicable

2. Level 2 or Senior Customer Care Executive: - Handling the complicated cases which are escalated by level 1 Customer Care Executives or needs more attention or customer asks for senior.

3. Subject Matter Expert: - An expert whom an agent approaches for support. These experts do not interact with customer only support agents what to do.

4. Supervisor / Manager: - Supervisor handles a team of agents to groom them and team management i.e. leaves, attendance, shifts, feedback etc. (this is where your degree will help)

5. Assistant Manager: - All supervisors report to Assistant manager.

6. Manager operations: - Head of call Center process .He takes major business decisions and planning and handles businesses operations for revenue etc.

Client service is imperative to any career and an opportunity to work in a call Center environment gives specific training and experience in dealing with customers one-on-one. If approached strategically it can help students and recent grads launch careers in the industry of their choice, such as sales or finance and banking. Call Center employees are often the most important point of contact between a company and its customers.
