Brian always crams for tests and stays up throughout the night before a test to study. He usually performs well in the tests and thinks he will do well in the cumulative final exam as well. Explain some of the issues that Brian will face regarding his success for the cumulative exam.
Your Internet connection isn't working properly, and you call customer service. You encounter an automatic menu and want to listen to all the selections to choose the option that best describes your problem. As you listen to the sixth option, you realize you cannot remember the first four options. Therefore, you have to listen to the options all over again. Explain what could have contributed to your forgetting the first four options.
Explanation / Answer
1. As a result of poor sleep, there would be memory loss along with forgetful. If sleep quality is poor, there would be deterioration of the brain. If fhe sleep quality is poor, the memories would be stuck inside the hippocampus, and could not be transferred to the pre frontal cortex. This results in forgetfulness. Thus, Brian would not be able to remember his learnt lessons in a proper manner with lack of sleep.
2. The reason why the person listening to the information had forgotten the first four options brcsudr of information overload. This is the phenomenon in which a person would be information overload. This is the condition where there would be exposure to too much data. This makes it difficult to make a decision or perform an action.
