Describe a scenario in which a person's nonverbal language says something quite different from the same person's verbal language. In doing so, be sure to address how non-verbal communication differs from verbal communication. Describe how the speaker's message differs depending on the following elements of delivery: voice, volume, pitch, rate, pauses, variety, pronunciation, articulation, and dialect. 1. Explanation / Answer

The basic difference between verbal communication and non verbal communication is that verbal communication is a form of communication in which an individual use words to interchange the information with another individual either in the form of speech or writing. On the other hand, non verbal communication does not use words for communicating anything, but some other modes are used to communicate information such as body language and gestures, sign language, facial expressions etc.

When a doctor examines a patient and sees a serious problem, but the facial expression remains unchanged so as not to alarm patient. In this scenario the Doctor’s non verbal communication is different from the verbal communication.
