What types of programs or tactics would you suggest to break the fear of Baby Boomers and change their attitude towards rock climbing?

To break the fear of rock climbing for Baby Boomers the owners should start programs that spread awareness about climbing and the safety features of the facility. Some tactics the owner should use is making the website appealing to all types of people, service different exercise groups like yoga, and create competitive events that showcase the facility. There are several things that the owner can do to have the attitudes of the Baby Boomers change. It needs to be promoted that climbing can be challenging and rewarding for that generation. It also needs to be promoted to them that climbing can be a great problem solving activity, can help with teamwork, and can build self-confidence. They need to demonstrate how it is serious exercise, and you can have fun while doing it! Also, offer softer treads and bigger climbing holds for easy grip so they won’t be as fearful. Some programs that could be offered to that generation could be training classes to practices safety, techniques, and proper footing, and after completing the training they could receive free two-week membership

I feel like there are several things that motivate on the rock-climbing wall. My family and I love climbing, and have rocked climbed for years. For me personally, what motivates me when I am participating in the sport is the feel of accomplishment when you get to the top.

Intrinsic motivation refers to the engagement in an activity with no reason other than the pure enjoyment and satisfaction of engagement itself. I believe this can happen when rock climbing, because I have experienced it. When activities, such as rock climbing, bring joy and happiness to a person, they do not need any other reason to participate. When you rock climb and receive that adrenalin rush of excitement, and accomplish such a great climb, it brings forth so much exhilaration that it makes you want to keep doing it for that reason only.

There is also the aspects that are given if you get a rock climbing membership. Next, there is materialism, the extent to where material goods are important in a consumer’s life. With rock climbing the indoor rock walls could be a good that is important because it makes it easier, safer, and more convenient to rock climb.
