Explanation / Answer

1. Have you ever re-examined your worldview after something major occurred in your life? Explain why or why not.

Major events are what shape a person's view or not only one particular thing, but every perspective of life. Yes, there have been major events that have shaped my view of looking at things. One such major event was the death of a very close relative. Their passing away was fairly not anticipated and came as a shock. Within a span of less than a year everything changed. After being stable from the shock, I realised that life is uncertain, is something that most of us know and agree. But the degree of uncertainty is very high. This came as a real perspective and I somehow started to realise that my responsibilities and actions mean much more than they used to a year ago, and many more people are looking up to me. Not only did my view of the world, but the way the world looks at me has also changed.

2. Recall a time when you met someone with a different worldview than yours, and you had a difficult time relating. What challenges did you have relating to that person?

Since my perspectives towards the world has become more dedicated and serious, I realised that my attributes were way different than many of the people of my own age group as well. I notice people who do not take their work seriously, have a let go attitude and for them, today is only today. Many of my friends do not have any long term goals or perspectives and neither do they look at the world as a place to give and achieve, rather they just want to enjoy without actually paying attention towards their work. There have been many instances at which I haven't been able to give time to them, and this had led to formation of some differences between us.

3. The understanding has seemed to be both ways. By acknowledging what life and world means to them, it makes me not lose my temper or get agitated when I hear criticisms about me and my work. Yes, many times even they have tried to understand how work and action are important to me and that helps in resolving the conflict up to quite some level.
