Participatory Action Research (PAR) is a form of research which includes the involvement of both the experimenter and the participants to make a social change. As the name signifies, it involves participation and action. Both the parties are involved from gathering information to implementing the final result.

Since PAR is a collective research it includes, looking at the problem by including the input of those affected (they are the participants of the research). Once they are included in the research, then the participants are interviewed to identify the problem and further collectively work together on it for a social change.
