Answer: Value that we hold are central to our decisions and actions. Depending upon the nature of our values whether we hold socially accepted moral values or values that are more selfish will determine how we will behave with others in our relationships. It is our value that would drive our decision to help our neighbour (who is in trouble) or not and it is again our values that would determine our actions like respecting our elders, and telling truth to our parents. Since values constitute one of the most important determinant of our actions and decisions examining our values and assessing their nature may help us relook, revise some of these values for a stable desirable change in our behaviours.
Truth and Knowledge are kinds or instances of value. For example, we may have value for truth that would mean that we strongly believe it is preferable, worth, beneficial to speak truth than otherwise. Similarly if knowledge is someone value he/she would hold knowledge with respect. He/she may pursue behaviours and actions of acquiring more and more knowledge because the person would believe it is good, and preferable to have knowledge than not
