b. Gus is Walt and Jesse’s competitor in the candy making business and wants to slow down their production. What 3 techniques can Gus use to decrease the saliency of the thermometer’s beep. Explain each of the 3 techniques.
Explanation / Answer
a. Explain what Walt can do to improve how Jesse learns.
Jesse is having a hard time in making an association with when to turn of the heat. What Walt can do here is to show how the beeping sound works multiple number of times. For this he might have to waste some of his syrup. He could repeatedly show the beeping sound but heating the syrup, asking Jesse to carefully notice the beep sound and tell him the temperature at which the beep is occurring. So that even if Jesse misses the beep sound, he could associate the closing of the gas by constantly monitoring the temperature and listen to when Walt asks to turn off , so that he could both notice the temperature and automatically associate it with the beeping sound.
b. Gus is Walt and Jesse’s competitor in the candy making business and wants to slow down their production. What 3 techniques can Gus use to decrease the saliency of the thermometer’s beep. Explain each of the 3 techniques.
