Explanation / Answer

Critical thinking or analytical thinking promotes decision making and problem solving skills. A critical thinker is someone, who thinks through a situation and comes up with a valid solution to a problem. Critical thinking could play a very important role in both personal and professional lives. In one's personal or professional life there will always be times when there are problems with people around. However, arguing is not the solution as it continues to add to one's dismay. A critical thinker evaluates the situation and communicates effectively to solve the problem instead of aggravating it.

Critical thinkers indeed do not get easily tricked by slick arguments, however, even if they do land up in a situation like that, a critical thinker would analyze the situation better, and come up with solutions that would help mend the situation. A person should communicate with another person and instead of arguing, a critical thinker should sensibly make a decision to solve the argument instead of escalating it. The argument can be resolved with rhyme and reason.
