Micro Level (Family and Individual) - Structure in Americal families is more complex from traitional nuclear family to single parent, step families therefore when a family member consumes drug that may quickly affect the other members in family
Negative communication in the family - Any communication may take the form of complaints, arguments, criticism.
Shame and denial - Family members may find it hard to hide the drug consumption of the person. They may have to face taunts or questions from the society, neighbourhood etc.
Change in mood - Due to some drugs, the the person may quicly get angry depressed, scared, overractive for no good reason
Effects on lungs and brain - Drugs that slows the person down such as heroin and pain relievers can stop breathing activity . Injecting needles can hurt veins, using dirty needles may cause HIV etc
Macro effect ( Organization & Society)
Loss of job - A persn may loose job and be in financial crisis since usage of drugs is nor allowed in companies.

Drug affected group/people cause turblence in the scoiety since there is increase in pressure to co workers, neighbourhood. Increase in rate of voilance and crimes in society
