The empires that developed in Mesopotamia, Egypt, and Persia; flourished on the river banks of Nile, Tigris and Euphrates rivers. This helped them to grow their farming and trade. The civilization's culture and politics also revolved around the basis of river valleys. Soon various regions developed as the kingdoms of these civilizations with a well-organized government. The people learned artwork and regional rituals. They worshiped various Gods.
All of these empires were involved with huge construction projects as evident from their architectural remains. The kings and pharaohs constructed funeral monuments to house themselves post death. the people believed in preserving the dead.These empires believed strongly in astrology and studied stars. All the major events happened after consulting the astrologers and the priests. Since they all were housed in river valleys, these empires had learned to predict the flood timings.
These empires had a good knowledge of herbs and medicines. They also developed wall art. These empires kept written records on clay tablets and used the skin of animals and the tree barks to write. All of these three empires had a rich cultural heritage. The region where these cultures developed was easy to invade. hence, these empires had good fighters to safeguard themselves. they had to develop a good military to protect from the invaders. The Egyptians developed the papyrus to record their hieroglyphics.
The empires that developed later flourished around water bodies. Because it could ensure them the fertile soil for farming and bountiful irrigation.
