Explanation / Answer

Ans 4) Cognitive dissonance is a stress where a person may happen to do an action which is opposite to his thoughts, vlues etc. A person may exp a discomfort in mind which may lead to change in attitude. Eg. A person is firmly rooted to his/her culture and loves it but may have to incorporate some changes in attitude ih/she goes out side his/her own culture. That person may notice shortcomings of his own culture and may develop a different attitude toward his/her own culture. Whereas in self perception a person is not knowing what his real feelings are, they are unsure about if it is a correct behaviour or not.

Ans 5) In Cognitive bolstering is forming of stong attitude during the cognitive dissonance process. Eg: I love typical indian food and do not like continental food and used to think that it is not nutritious, during my last visit in restaurant I had a breakfast of cereals and milk. I found that this breakfast is pretty healthy and nutrious also. Although I was not pro with western breakfast. Still I developed an attitude that atleast breakfast of cereals and milk is healthy and quicker than most of the Indian breakfast.

Ans 1) Systematicity is a state or quality of being systematic. Confirmation bias is providing an explanation which supports his/her own thoughts. Systematicity can very well eliminate confirmation biases. If a person is very well systematic to his thoughts and believes in accepting pure science/facts which can be even contradictory to his/her own thoughts. If a person is more faithful to the subject than to his/her own research then systematcity can elimiate confirmation biases.

Ans 2) Social cognition is how people store, process and apply information about other people and social situations. It is sub branch of sociology. In the above mentioned case if someone utters my name, I would obviously go for checking as in who has said my name and what are they talking about. I would like to know as in why have those people taken my name
