Question
Is there archaeological evidence for the Biblical Flood? If an universal Flood occurred between five and six thousand years ago, killing all humans besides the eight on board the Ark, it would be abundantly clear in the archaeological record. Human record would be marked by an absolute break. We would see the devastation wrought by the catastrophe in terms of the destroyed physical remains of pre-Flood human settlements. Unfortunately for the Flood enthusiasts, the destruction of all but eight of he world's people left no mark on the archaeology of human cultural evolution.
Explanation / Answer
There is still no evidence for the great Biblical flood of Noah.Although similar flood accounts are there in the epic of Gilgamesh of Mesopotamia and in ancient Sumerian literatures, but a solid evidence for the flood is yet to be discovered. Many archeologist do claim of finding archeological evidences in the Dead Sea regarding a great flood in the ancient times but still it still needs to be proved.
