Freud has described three parts of brain: conscious, sub- conscious and unconscious. According to him the most important region is unconscious. Here those processes take place which really affects one's behaviour. According to Freud, the unconscious mind governs one's behaviour to a higher degree than people generally think.
Later, Freud developed one more systematic model of mind that comprised three parts- id, ego and superego. Whenever id and superego have a conflict among them, ego by deploying several defence mechanisms try to prevent it and stop it from being turn into anxiety or stress.
According to Freud, children are born with libido. It is a kind of sexual pleasure urge. During childhood there are different stages when a child gains pleasure from different objects.
