Veronica Cormingstone mailed Ron Burgundy an offer with definite and certain terms and that was legal in all respects stating that it was good for 5 days. Two days later, she sent Ron a letter by certified mail (time stamped by the Postal Service at 12:30 p.m.) stating that the original offer was revoked. That evening around 5:30 p.m. Ron e-mailed Veronica accepting the offer. She then immediately phoned him to tell him that she had revoked the offer earlier that afternoon, and he would surely receive it in tomorrow's mail. Was the offer revoked by Veronica? Why or why not? 3. Han Solo had great plans to fly around the galaxy and wanted to purchase a spacecraft. Boba Fett contracted to sell his spacecraft to Han Solo. He intentionally misrepresented to him that the spacecraft did not have any mechanical problems. In fact, the spacecraft had serious defects that rendered the ship unsafe to operate. Han was unaware of these defects and was induced into making the contract due to his reliance on Boba's misrepresentation. Decide. Aaron Rodgers wanted to acquire a franchise for a Let M Roar party store, which was a corporation that maintained a system of chain stores. An agent for Let M Roar, Matt Stafford, informed Aaron that if he would sell his Cheese factory in Pontiac, acquire a certain tract of land in Detroit, and put up $7,500, he would be given a franchise. In reliance on the agent's promise, Aaron sold his business and acquired the land in Detroit, but he was never granted a franchise. He sued Let M Roar, Let M Roar raised the defense that there had been only an assurance that Aaron would receive a franchise, but because there was no promise supported by consideration, there was not any binding contract to give him a franchise. Decide 4.Explanation / Answer
1. In this case there was no quasi-contract liability because Veronica did not wish to paint her house and neither was she aware.Billy did the paint by accident as he was about to paint the neighbour's house. So, in this case Veronica is not liable to pay any amount.
2. In this case the offer was not revoked by Veronica because when she mailed the actual offer, it was mentioned that the offer can be accepted within 5 days, so even if she revokes it now, that is not valid.
3. In this case Boba is not liable of anything even though he has misrepresented the information regarding the spacecraft because during a refurbished deal it is the liability or the duty of the buyer to verify each and everything and if requires additional help can be taken by an expert in this case which was not done by Han Solo, hence he is himself responsible.
4. In this case Aaron cannot sue Let M Roar because the a promise cannot be considered as a contract, hence Let M Roar cannot be convicted guilty in this case and even if we consider the promise then also Aaron did not fulfill all the three.
5. Nothing can be done in this case as there is no formal contract between the two, it ws just a formal deal which is not even considered.
6. No she should not because that will make her liable to pay them their share of amount that they charge.
7. The court will uphold the drafted contract because that is valid in the court and not the parol.
8. In this case Donald has todo the painting himself or he can offer alternative compensation and that needs to be accepted by Mickey and Daisy both.
9. In this case Goldilock cannot backout because if the contract has been agreed on then it has to be completed.
