1. People who have one mor more friendships appear to be happier. Self disclosure plays a major role relieving depression and stress in relationships. Listening carefully and responding in a positive manner helps to strengthen relationships. People who have a positive social relationships with others i.e. social support do show more signs of happiness than the ones who do not have people around them to shar their feelings with. Social support helps in overcoming major stressors of life. For example, any family member suffering from any mental illness can actually get cured if he/she has the support of family and friends. People with social support can overcome the negative life events and are less likely to commit suicides. Having people who you can trust and share your personal feelings with helps in bringing a positive change in the persona and strengthen the relation leading to feeling happy. It helps to become self aware and happy with oneself. 2.The twins were separated during infancy and given up for adoption. They were reunited after 35 years. The children were part of a psychological study to assess the effect of nature versus nurture in child development. The study indicated evidence about bothe genetic and environmental factors can influence traits and diseases. 3. The students first need to understand his/her memory's strengths and weaknesses by doing a self-test. Understanding and remembering-Students must engage in activities that would enable them to understnad the concepts that would help them in remembering better.Just by reading books and listening to teachers is not enough. Maintenance rehearsal is all about repeating in the information again and again and storing it the short term memory but what would help in improving memory is Elaborative rehearsal which is a more active process and involves elaborating upon the new information coming by organizing it into categories and storing the long term memory. By making association between new information and the information already stored,recoding information will help in improving memory. Encoding practices for school students includes startegies of reading and re-reading textbooks or mnemonic strategy of word substitution to emcode information from long term memory. Retrieval practices involve recalling information from long term memory. Asking questions,self tests help in retrieval. 4.Cattell defined fluid intelligence as the ability to think and reason abstractly and solve problems. For example like solving puzzles. It tends to decline during late adulthood. Crystallized intelligence involves knowledge that comes from prior learning and past experiences. For example,this type of intelligence is needed in reading comprehension and vocabulary exams. Cattell referred to both these intelligences as general intelligence. The are two different factors of general intelligence.
