Explanation / Answer

By volunteering to end alzheimers walk, i helped raise awareness and organize the event. I had to learn about alzheimers myself, i decided to first educate myself about it. I did a lot of research on alzheimers , as to the nature, symptoms, treatment options etc. I found few foundation in my city and spoke to them about alzheimers and how they are contributing towards the awareness of alzheimers  

I was one of the volunteers in setting up the registrations stations and photo booth. I had to talk with various people and educate them about the alzheimers and ask them why they were participating, we also gave them handouts on some information about alzheimers . In the five hours of community service, i learned a lot. I had to deal with many other volunteers and team up with them. We had to decide where the registration counters and photo booths will be set up, and what will be said to the participants.

I had the opportunity of leading a team in setting up the registration stations and photo booths, i felt confident and responsible about what i was doing, and also felt engaged in the activity. As, a student in psychology, this has helped me a great deal in understanding alzheimers, and also will help me in the future in deal with people of alzheimers , and education other people about alzheimers
