Explanation / Answer
Antibiotic-resistant bacteria is very intesresting topic for microbiology research because now a days rise of antibiotic resistant bacteria is a serious problem today. The majority of antibiotics are being used to kill bacteria for several human benefits. There are many other ways to kill bacteria but most of them are unsafe in humans. Antibiotics such as penicillin and ampicillan are what is used to kill many bacteria today. If the anti-biotic resistance increase, it means that we become more and more vulnerable to these resistance strains of bacteria. it is becoming a series problem because once they obtain the anti-biotic resistance, they replicate and replicate meaning once the numbers are big enough, they can pose a huge threat to our health as we will no longer have viable ways of fighting them off.
In the coming future the microbiology researchs are mostly going to focus on genomics and antibiotic resistance, so developing a career as a microbiologist in these field can highly useful in various aspects.
