(I) Goal of becoming Bank Teller:

The details regarding fulfillment of this goal are delineated below:

(1) Reason for setting the goal – I have an interest in the banking sector and Bank Teller jobs have fascinated me since childhood, when I had been going to the banks with my father. The way they used to handle cash, checks and others and the professional way of dealing with customers have always amused me. Also I have strong mathematics skills and good typing speed. Further, I can install my own computer, printer and other related devices. Additionally I am a good communicator and am comfortable in interacting with different types of people.

(2) Action Plan to accomplish the Goal – I have just graduated from College. I will be perusing the different job sites such as indeed, monster and others for this type of job opening and go on applying till I get an interview call. On receiving the interview call, I will thoroughly prepare for it so that I can crack it. I am hopeful of getting this type of job in the next 3 months.

(3) Knowledge regarding goal accomplishment – I would know that I have accomplished my goal if I am able to bag this type of job within the next 3 months in a reputed bank.

(4) Date of goal achievement – Today is 13th March, 2018 and I hope to achieve this goal by 13th June, 2018.

(5) Monthly steps for goal achievement – First one month will be spent in preparing my Resume and applying for this job position. Second month will be spent in attending job interviews. Third month will be spent in doing follow-up of the attended interviews and putting in more rigorous efforts regarding job application till clinching the job within the 3 months’ target.

(II) Goal of becoming Loan Specialist:

The details regarding achievement of this goal are described below:

(1) Reason for setting the goal – Getting loans had been difficult for my father because of his low salary. He had to face lots of hurdles in getting car and home loans and in repaying them. Some of my relatives also had faced this type of problem. Hence, I had decided in childhood to do this type of job too so that I can be of utmost service to the people in dire need of loans.

(2) Action Plan to accomplish the Goal – After working as a Bank Teller for one year and acquiring a good knowledge of banking operations and procedures, I will try to shift to this type of job. I will start studying about the different types of bank loans, their eligibility criteria, the procedures followed by various banks in disbursing the loans and others. I will also start applying for Loan Specialist position for the next 6 months so that I can get this job within my planned time of 18 months.

(3) Knowledge regarding goal accomplishment - I would know that I have accomplished my goal if I am able to bag this type of job within the next 6 months (after having completed one year as Bank Teller)in a renowned bank.

  (4) Date of goal achievement – Today is 13th March, 2018 and I hope to achieve this goal by 13th August, 2019.

(5) Monthly steps for goal achievement – First 12 months will be spent in gaining the knowledge and experience of Bank Teller. Next 6 months will be spent in preparing and shifting to the job of a Loan Specialist.

(III) Goal of becoming Loan Officer Manager:

The details regarding achievement of this goal are explained as under:

(1) Reason for setting the goal – This is very obvious as a person’s aim is to go to the next level of performance in a job. This is a higher designation job compared to that of a Loan Specialist, with more challenges and greater rewards in terms of compensation and job satisfaction.

(2) Action Plan to accomplish the Goal – For first 3 years, I will acquire the necessary knowledge and experience of a Loan Specialist. After that within the next 1 year, I will become a Loan Officer Assistant Manager. Then through my hard work and performance, I hope to become a Loan Officer Manager in the next 1 year. So in 5 years, I aim to become a Loan Officer Manager from a Loan Specialist.

(3) Knowledge regarding goal accomplishment - I would know that I have accomplished my goal if I am able to go to this position within the next 5 years in a reputed bank.

(4) Date of goal achievement – Today is 13th March, 2018 and I hope to achieve this goal by 13th March, 2023.

(5) Monthly steps for goal achievement – First 3 years will be spent in gaining the knowledge and experience of Loan Specialist. Next 1 year will be spent in working as a Loan Officer Assistant Manager. After that in another 1 year I hope to become full-fledged Loan Officer Manager through my performance.

My Financial Goal is to initially earn around $ 40,000 annually, which is the common salary of a Bank Teller in USA. Within the next 18 months I want my annual earning to increase by around $ 30,000 so that I can annually earn around $ 70,000 which is again a normal salary of a Loan Specialist. Within the next 5 years I want to have an annual earning of more than $ 100,000, and this is possible if I start working as Loan Officer Manager. All these financial targets will help to me to own a decent house with a nice car and have a more or less comfortable lifestyle. Hence I can say that my financial goals are in alignment with my career goals.
