Explanation / Answer

in cystic fibrosis blood Na level is considerably low. but in this case it is within normal range. i.e 137 meq/L.

K level is within normal range . 1.6-3.5.

total bilirubin is also low and within normal range.

in case of cystic fibrosis the pancreatic dducts and cells are degenerated. and eventually fibrosis occurs. thus secretion of insulin is impaired. and diabetes takes place.

AST , ALT levels are also low. in cystic fibrosis it increases due to intrahepatic cholestasis.
