Folate deficiency does affect bone repair.because folate deficiency causes increase plasma homocysteine levels and methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase deteriorate normal collagen crosslink formation.

2.vit c deficiency results in failure of osteoblast to firm the intracellular substance osteoid .without the normal ground substance the deposition of bone is arrested.the resulting scrouting bone is weak.and fractures easily.

3.cortilage doesnot heal easily because it has no blood supply.

4cartilage due before blood vessel move into bone because cartilage has no blood supply abd it does not allow blood vessel to invade.

5.illiac crest has large amount of red bone marrow so it is used and for patient comfort and safety.
