Here are some rights of employees.
The rights of the employees includes getting fair compensation, not getting any type of discrimination at the workplace, right of privacy,
Fair compensation means the government has set a minimum amount that has to be offered by the companies’ to the employee. It will be violation of law of any employer offers lower amount than the standard wage in the state.
The employee has the freedom from discrimination, Discrimination based on color, sex, religion, cast, race, origin, nationality etc. Even if any prospect employee, he or she also has the right to free from the discrimination.
Right to privacy means the employer cannot search the briefcase, locker etc and the personal belongings of the employees.
The other rights include freedom from the harassment,
The employees have the right to get safe and secure workplace to work.
The employees have whistle blower right against the employer. Any wrong doing of the employer may be complained by the employees.
Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) prohibits the employer to discriminate any employee based on the differently abled people.
Age Discrimination in Employment Act prohibits the employer to discriminate the old workforce against young work force.
Fair Labor Standards Act gives the employees right to work against a set standard of work hours. It sets duration of working days, hours etc.
Family and Medical Leave Act- As per this act the employees have the right to get leave for medical reason for at least 12-week.
