Question 4 of 14 All of the following increase blood pressure except: A. Increased sodium retention 9B. Decreased collecting duct permeability C. Increased size of the afferent arteriole D. Decreased size of the efferent arteriole Reset Selection Mark for Review What's Thid Question 5 of 14 When the blood pressure returns to normal, the: A. Production of renin stops O B. Production of ADH increases C. Circulation of angiotensinogen decreases D. Production of aldosterone increases Reset Selection Mark for Review What's This?Explanation / Answer
Answer:
4)
As the sodium present in the blood has the effect that it will reduce the kidney function to remove the water from the body which may result in increase in the blood pressure on the other hand as the ADH is responsible for increasing and decreasing the permiability of the collecting duct as if the permiability of the collecting duct increases it will result to low down the blood pressure and the converse os true for decreased lollecting duct permiability that it will increase the blood pressure and lastly the efferent arteriole has the small diameter which result in the increase blood pressure.
So all of the following causes the increase in blood pressure except Increased size of afferent arteriole.
5)
The blood pressure returns to normal when production of the renin stops.
