Explanation / Answer

What is osmotic pressure and its basis? What is its relation to osmosis and diffusion?

he pressure which prevents the entering solvent across a semipermeable membrane when it is in osmosis, it is called osmatic pressure.

The osmatic pressure doesnot have any role diffusion becuase in diffusion, the molecules or ions moves freely from high concentration to low concentration.

When coming to osmosis, the entering of solvent from low concentration to high concentration is depends on the osmatic potential. The solvent molecules always moves from high osmatic pressure to low osmatic pressue till it reaches to equilbrium.

accoridng to chegg guidelines we have to answer one qeustion at a time. so post the rest as seperate questions. Then I can hlep you.
