As a reader, you should be able to draw conclusions based on what the character says to other characters (interactions/speech/dialog), the actions of the characters (what he/she does OR doesn't do), and the thoughts of the character (author gives you insight into the characters thoughts=true feelings). Remember that characters are the author's creation, so he/she has an agenda to make you like or dislike certain characters, however, she/he is not gong to announce their intentions: instead the author is going to try to persuade you to arrive at that conclusion by the character's actions, dialog and thoughts. Referring to the story "Everyday Use" by Alice Walker - page 235 or 237 answer the following questions: 1-How would you describe the narrator, Mrs. Johnson's character? 2- What do you like/dislike about her? Why? 3- Explain how the author helped you arrive at your conclusion 4- What are her feelings? Are you able to identify with her feelings? How so, OR why not? Explain.Explanation / Answer
1. She is one of the tough lady. she doesn't not say much about her partner or husband. she is strong and brave woman.
2. likes about her is she is brave woman and an independent lady who cares for everyone but talk not that much. she's the protagonist . She has embarrassed toughness and hard work in order to raise her two girls. she is proud and protective.
