Advanced Physiology Bloom’s Taxonomy Questions
You must use combination of multiple choice and free response. Only one question may be free response. You cannot write a True or False question.
You must indicate your answer below each question.
You must use a range of Bloom’s levels. You cannot write all “Remembering” questions. You must indicate your level of Bloom’s difficulty (see below). For example, you could write one question at a lower level (1-3) and two questions at a higher level (4-6).
Your work must be independent. You cannot work with others or submit similar questions or you will receive a grade of zero.
Each of your three questions will be worth 10 points. The rubric for the grading of the questions appears below. Points will be deducted if you do not specify the correct level of Bloom’s Taxonomy to your question, or if the content of your question does not match with the stated topic for each question.

Explanation / Answer
Answer:
As for the extracellular purpose the first messenger plays the most important role for the hormones as well as for the neurotransmitters whereas on the other hand for the intracellular signalling purpose the most important role is played by the second messanger. These second messengers can be used to initiate the physiological parameters such as survival, differentiation, migration and also the proliferation. So in the example of the calcium proliferation there comes the calcium and now lets see what is calcium used as the second messanger.
Calcium as a second messanger because the large variety of the physiological parameters have been covered in this which starts from the muscle contraction and may also include transmission of the neuronal activity to the targeted site such as the excitatory synapse, movement that takes place in the flagella and cilia, neurogenesis and it may also include the physiological contents such as the cell growth also the secretion of the saliva.
So thats why the calcium can be called as the calcium as second messanger.
