Explanation / Answer

Hypothetically, I have a habit of smoking, a and I smoke a lot. I wish to modify my behaviour with the help of classical conditioning. In this process I will associate an unpleasant stimuli with smoking. This will involve, everytime I smoke I will administer aa mil electric shock on my hands. The unconditioned stimulus is the electric shock, and the unconditioned response is fear. So, when the shock is administered along with smoking, then smoking becomes the conditioned stimulus which produces the conditioned response, which is fear.
