Television and the media are influential in shaping our perceptions of the "diversity" of family life. Which family types are predominantly portrayed in the media? Which family types are portrayed the least? What do you think is the rationale for selecting these family types? I would like to talk about Indian fammily television shows. India is known for its rich culture and heritage. India is also known for its gold ornaments and silk dresses, silk sarees etc. The family shown in Indian Television shows are mostly joint families. And whatever is shown in the families is least rational or true. The serials are mostly based upon some happiness, saddness, emotions in addition to some family member who is villan. This is not true in real life. One's life can not be so melodramatic in the real life. The communication betweeen the family members is absolutely not close to the real life. It is full of dramatic dialogues, people are over emotional, or do not have common sense.

There are may online channels such as netlfix or amazon life or even youtube. The family life shown in this is somewhere close to reality such only two people living, live in relationship. Group of friends living together. But since it is again entertainment the day to day problems are not shown or the houses are shown in the fancy style having good inetriors etc. For eg: there is a web series called SIT (Shitty Ideas trending) in that serial problems about couples are show, but it is mostly shown that the couple is living a good lifestyle and not a normal or a simple one.

My reommendations would be that show what is close to real life and not something having entertainment factor. The hero and heropine would wear simple clothes which any normal people would wear or would show any house which is close to any normal house. Even the communication should be a normal one not too high pitched, something which gives solution to viewers real life problems such as how to lead life happily even in full of tension.
